Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you offer timed facials instead of different types of facials?

My job is to determine what your skin needs, yours is to relax! With every facial, we will discuss your skins needs + create a plan together, as well as getting your choice of enhancements with no extra fees to calculate during your mid-facial nap!

How do I prepare for my facial?

I kindly ask that you complete ALL forms prior to arriving to the studio so I can review + being preparing for your service more efficiently. You must stop waxing + using all retinols/acids/active ingredients AT LEAST 4 days prior to your facial and be mindful of sun/UV exposure to avoid risking sensitivity/pigmentation.

Recent injectable procedures (ex: botox/filler) call for AT LEAST 2 weeks wait to avoid risking migration.

I always suggest hydrating as much as possible, but especially before your facial in order to allow your body + skin to function at it's best and heal properly.

Is there downtime with facials?

Because everyones skin is unique, each client will leave with different results and I highly recommend scheduling your facial AT LEAST 48 hours before any important events to ensure your skin has time to reach it's maximum potential.

Some clients may experience minor redness, inflammation or tenderness due to exfoliation or extractions, while others leave fresh-faced + glowing!

If you do experience any downtime, symptoms typically subside within 1 - 24 hours.

For acne prone clients, purging (small breakouts) may occur in the following days/weeks with your initial visit. The more consistent, compliant and trusting you are with your home-care + esthetician, the faster you will have the clear skin you deserve!

Always reach out with any questions or concerns.

How do I care for my skin right after my facial?

Typically if your facial is later in the day, you can head to bed without having to do any additional home-care. If it is earlier in the day, I will provide samples of gentle products if needed or recommend a gentle routine based on the routine we have previously created for you.

Continue avoiding waxing, direct sun + active ingredients for AT LEAST 4 days after your facial.
